From the SH4 site...
Tjarf: How extensive will the campaign of the Addon be (number of mission, duration of a mission, special missions, etc.)? Tudor Serban (Lead Designer): The new German campaign will cover the Indian Ocean and the South West Pacific theaters of operations from July 1943 until the end of war. While we are using the same campaign structure from the original game, we redesigned the upgrade system, adding many more options for players. For example, we added new weapons, new systems, and enhancements such as coatings and radar warnings. In addition, players will gain new abilities as they advance in rank, such as calling in reconnaissance aircraft, and the ability to coordinate auxiliary cruisers. We have also added a new mission type called “Intercept” which will require players to find and sink specific convoys, usually including high priority targets like battleships and troop ships, within a limited period of time. Lukin1971: Are there coordinated attacks with other submarines on convoys in Singleplayer (wolf pack tactic)? Tudor Serban: As we’ve announced previously and mentioned above, the U-Boat Missions add-on will contain Strategic Support features, enabling players to coordinate various surface ships and aircraft, rather than additional u-boats. However, we’ve heard the community’s request for wolf packs loud and clear and this is certainly something we might consider in the future. Last edited by Sonarman; 12-18-07 at 01:24 PM. |

I notice that Tudor is listed as "lead designer" I hope that doesn't mean we've lost "Dan the man".
