Default Do I need GWX 2?

Hi there.

I guess tomorrow is the big day when GWX2 is released for the public.
My question is. Do I need GWX 2?
I now have GWX 1,02 installed and it workes perfect. Looks perfect.
Nice mods that works perfect.(Thank you modders!!)

What is new in GWX 2 that can make me want to reinstall SH III?
Please enlight me.

what you need is the version of the game you enjoy the most
that runs best on your system.

that said I think that 2.0 was everybit as worth it and more
as 1.03

Read the GWX 2.0 Manual and make your own mind up.

You NEED water, air and food. All else is accesory, but GWX 2.0 is one of those things that should be on the top of list of "accesory" things

Save all of your previous files and mods relating to 1.02 and 1.03. Try out 2.0, you can always reinstall 1.02 and your older mods.

GWX 2.0 is more historically accurate and it has taken some of the best mods, more ships, better graphics and incorporated it all into 2.0; so you really don't need to add a lot of extra mods. 2.0 will not disapoint you.

I think people should not put too much into the version number "2.0" as compared to "1.3." In the software industry [Hello! Microsoft?] a new release gets the ".0" treatment, which we have learned over the years to equate to "new, but buggy." As such, I fear that some people are regarding "2.0" as less stable than "1.3," the ".3" meaning it has gone through several debugs and is now stable. This is simply not the case with GWX 2.0; the new revision number simply reflects the added content. The previous reliability has been preserved. Please do not be put off by the version numbering format. This is Grey Wolves, NOT Microsoft.

Exactly. The whole, round number for us simply denotes a full release as opposed to an update. There is a great deal of new/added content, but executing a full release allowed us to go back and polish other bits we wanted to improve without adding more than necessary to the file weight.

For instance, we improved the reflections of (nearly) every single ship in the mod.

I noticed that the improved alpha channels have a fantastically atmospheric effect in low-light conditions, that is to say, stalking at dawn and dusk. The ships are perceptibly improved - much more nuanced and detailed than the "Matchbox toy" models of out-the-box SH3. I'm doing a career in the Med right now and the effect is striking. Oh, it also seems that rigging and various deck clutter has been added to a lot of ships, right?

Exactly and yes. Sorry for the late answer.
