Thanks for keeping us informed subman ...
I just bought a low end card for $143.00 at ewiz ... sure is great so far on everything ... FSX, UT3, Company of Heros, etc ... Except FSX looks a little dark and I don't know if it's FSX or the card ... but I can fly with so much detail I don't care. The card is ATI MSI 2600HDXT 512MB with a heatpipe instead of a loud fan that usually uses too much juice anyway. The card alone uses 185 watts, burned up one cheap power supply already ... now I have a new 600 watt with two big fans. Got to have good cooling and more power for these new video cards.

Go into the ATI control panel and select the COlor tab under the advanced settings. You can crank the gama and brightness there to make it less dark.

Maybe prices will drop on current top end cards soon. So budget minded pukes like myself can swoop in and get one cheap. :rotfl:
