Need help modifying promotions

Hey everyone, I'm relatively new to SH3, but I'm divin in quick! I already play on 93% realism, (i need my external cam

) GWX 1.03, (can't wait until 2.0

) and now I'm looking for a quick realism fix that I just can't seem to iron out right.

I want to change it so that I can get past Kapitanleutnant. I've tried modifying the basic.cfg, and the main.cfg, but I can't seem to get it right, does anyone know how to do this? I would appreciate the help! Also I've tried stuff in past threads, but the instructions on how people have done this have just confused me. thanks!

Also, is there anyway to get this compatible with SH3 Commander so it all matches up in the personnel files? Thanks for all the help everyone!
