If you haven't been here, it is a hotbed of ships for the taking

I finished my patrol in the China Sea and did some checking on the Korean and Vietnam side of the China Sea. Vung Tau and Saigon have two ports loaded with merchants. There is one destroyer patroling the Saigon side so be careful. The weather was crappy. But if you get close enough you can see the reflection of the ships in the water if you can't spot them with the TDC. You don't know what it is but most of the time I set the torp for 10 and that takes out most.

Again i outwitted the destroyer by coming into Vung Tau very close to the docks with about 6ft below the keel. The destroyers again are dumb and tried to DC me. Of course the depth is too shallow so the destroyer sunk itself. It always happens as long as you can stay away from his DC run.

BTW I am in the end of 1944.

Good hunting....
