Default A Question To All Skinners

finally im not complaining...

but im curious about skins for the U-boats

i have lots of ideas for some i want to make, but i dont know what program to use to make them work right

(I have a program that is able to open and modify TGAs. but when i try to use them they dont work, so i scratched that.)

i know theres a really simple solution behind this but i politely ask

is there a skin modifying program on the internet that i can use?

thanks.

If you can open and modify them you can make them work in the game. Are you saving them in 32bit res? Are they being enabled thru JSGME and are you doing it correctly?

I use Adobe photoshop CS2, it's not free, Koondawg uses Paint Shop Pro 7 or 8, it came with his comp, like I said, if you can open and modify you can get them to work in game.

24 bit or lower I imagine.
I have loaded at that res but it just didn't show up, never CTD'd on me so I don't know.

Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8 or 9 is a pretty good program. I still have PSP 8 on my HD, it's the cheapest I know of so far but 9's the newest that I've heard of from them.

I never had skins crash a game. They just don't load ingame. SH3 resorts to default skins if it doesn't recognize your newer skin.

I use photoshop CS2 also and there is a basic program you can have free below

You can try this program for the simple stuff.
