Default A Few Questions......

1. I've read it in a thread here recently, but now I can't find it! Typical! What's the range perameters on the deck gun for short/medium/long?

2. I've noticed in radio messages, other uboats getting ordered through the channel whilst they're already on patrol. If Bdu instructs you, by radio, or in your initial orders, through the channel, are you obliged to do it? It's just that I've learned my lessons regarding shallow water!

3. I know it's a very generalised question, But how many days, on average, would you folks be at sea in a VIIb.

Any help welcomed, cheers.

The deck gun I can't help with as I can't look at my computer right now.

Most radio messages are purely for immersion. BdU ordering u-boats through the Channel fall into this category. You only have to report to your patrol grid and sink enemy ships - nothing else. Staying out of shallow water is a good idea and you should do it. Sink ships and survive and they will stay happy.

Unless I blow off all my torpedoes quickly, I'm usually at sea betwee thirty and sixty days; sometimes a little longer.

Yeah, stay out of harbours and shallow water are well embossed on my psyche now! LOL.

That's good about the patrol duration - I'm not sure as I sit here of the length of my first 'proper' patrol but I was getting worried I was dragging it out a bit too much.

Thanks mate.
