Default Diesel exhaust?

Hi everyone
Is there any mod that shows diesel smoke coming out the side exhaust pipes?

They were able to do it in SH3. Leovampire is the textures man, send him a PM and get his thoughts.

Default there is a way to do this but it is complicated

First you need someone with a 3D rendering program.

You have to find the corordinate's on the sub where the smoke as to be comming from.

Then a node has to be added to the sub's DAT file with control's for the effect and a reference to the new smoke file texture.

And the game has to be told how and when it happens and see if it can be tied into the telegraph settings or something else for the engine's so it know's when to increase and decrease and to shut off when diving.

To be honest I do not have the programs to do this nor the tallent right now. I just know how it needs to be done.

Privateer wants to say to LeoVampire:

"From Privateer:
Actually Leo, no 3D program is needed.
Smoke can be added to the dat, the sim, or the val file by hex editing.
I DID a Gato nearly 8 or 9 months ago as an example that it could be done.
It was a preliminary work and classed as a pre-beta example.
In the months since, I have been deeply involved in GWX 2.0
and somethings had to be put aside for a time.
Now that time is freeing up, there are many areas I want to,
re-visit,
shall we say?
Privateer"

I to be pleased to pass message to Privateer if wish.

Default The reason why I said a 3d editor is so you can find the right corordinates

When Kapitan_zur_see did the new bubble effect's he used the 3d editor to find the right corordinates on the 3d model to tell the DAT file where the bubbles should be comming from on the limber holes.

So it would be easier to have one to find the right spot on the sub rather than hit and miss and guessing right?!

Again I pass message!
Privateer say:
"That may have been the case.
There are some things soon to change for the good of all.
No secrets, no hidden agendas, no "You owe me".
I'll stand behind this statement.
For what it is worth to those that know me!

Privateer"

Well..... I am no good in 3D programming of any kind, but if anyone decide to do this let me know. I would love effects like that.
