Default Mission completed - now what?

Went to South China Sea - sunk four freighters. Went back to P.H. and picked refit. Now what? Thanks Reaves, All I needed to do was end mission.

Press M.

You will see two little icons under your messages saying "SEND PATROL REPORT'' and the other "SEND CONTACT REPORT" (or similar)

Send the patrol report and you will soon get new orders. If it doesn't work after a few days try again.

I think I'd cry. By choosing refit instead of end cruise you passed up any chance of passing out promotions before you go out. You might have had the opportunity for better radar or torpedoes or a better AA gun or even a new boat. You passed that up. You would have been awarded renown for your successful cruise. You passed that up too, although you will get some of that when you finally return.

There's more to returning to base than piling on more torpedoes. You missed an important part of the game thinking you were getting greedy for more tonnage on the same "cruise." The joke's on you.

Yes, send a patrol report via the clipboard. You will recieve new orders if you have munitions left to play with. If you are empty of torps head on home and end patrol.

You can always opt to not send that report, top off the tanks, and head to home port and end the patrol. Now you have a chance to hand out promotions and medals.

If you want to find your homeport (sometimes it changes)
you can have a look at UPC file in
My docs/SH4/data/cfg/SaveGames/ (the last modified folder, sort it by date)
Open the CareerTrack.upc file and at the end of the file you can read your homeport BaseIDLink
