have sunk the following with torpedoes and deckgun fire. some damage sustained in surface engagement with enemy destroyer; believe class to have been J&K. enemy destroyer also sustained some minor damage including hit from torpedo but did not sink. 3 merchants left burning:

thx. woulda but Bernard, again, was screwing around with the radio. thought he could increase the rand. he didn't. it was some time before it was properly repaired. anyway, this concoy was in grid BE coming from the SE corner
