Ctd: Send Error Report

hi hunters

on a previous post i was saying how much i'm enjoying sh3 etc etc.

and then hey presto CTD.
its happened twice now, here are some details that may point the way;

error signature
mod: sh3.exe
app name: sh3.exe
app version: 1.4.01
offset: 00029063

there was a list of numbers and letters as long as my arm too but i dont know how to save them.
also, i entered sh3 without going through sh3commander. this happened once.

shame if i lose it all now, with 16000+ tons and a good crew, oh well.

can any of you help
many thanks
flag4

edit: this crash is happening at the same place each time; i have surfaced and am about to place watch officer on deck. as soon as i move him, crash, black screen.

Hmmm SH3.exe can mean multiple things
So I guess the save was underwater ?
Not an advisable thing to do - I know stupid in a sub game

Does it CTD if you just surface ? and leave the WO alone

hi bbw
thanks for responding.
yes, i did save underwater. it has happened in the heat of battle/being persued.
i think i have saved underwater a few times recently.
thing is, i have saved numerous times on this patrol so, i have gone back about half dozen to a time where i think i didnt.
iam, at the moment, running a previous save, im on the surface doing about 17 knots and going through all the different commands and so fare, nothing has crashed. i wondering if i have got away with it !!

what do you think? (obviously a tuff question considering you're not here !)

going back to previous save will have wiped all saves after it too ?
wondering if this will have cleared away the dodgy ones.

if the above fails what do you recommend, scrap the patrol ?

i'll just go and check it again...........

yep ! still goin' gliding along the surface !

is there anything i can check in the sh3 programme ?

thanks again

Yes loading a previous campaign will erase all saves after
If you start with SH3commander its best to keep starting that way unless you dont rollback
By rolling back ,SH3commander removes any changes it made
If you load a save without loading through commander again the game may CTD as the files are different

I would carry on with your patrol as all seems ok now
Not really anything you can check

Good hunting
