Default Beta Driver 1.69.01

I installed the NVidia beta driver 1.69.01 which was recommended along with the "Crysis" game Demo download. I hate FirstPersonShooter games, but I wanted to see the 'Vista-Geforce 8800GTX-DX10' graphics of Crysis. Fairly impressive graphics.
Meanwhile, I went to a patrol in SH4 and noticed in some conditions that I was seeing significant 'banding' in the sky...which I'd not noticed before. Before I roll back to my previous driver (1.63.69) to make a comparison, I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar experience with banding and/or this new Beta driver.

I have had color banding in the sky from day one. I would love to know what is causing it as well.

I am an ATI user though. I hope that isn't the reason why.

I guess they should have made SH4 an open boat where we run around inside and shoot each other a 1000 times. They seem to handle those games with numerous patches. --Longam UBI SHIV Forums

A sad day has dawned...

recently, I reinstalled SH3, before dumping it b/c I couldn't patch it, and noticed that it seemed a lot jerkier than I remember it before a making a large computer upgrade and newest drivers.

7800 and Vista.
