Adding comments to the Captain's log

Is there a way to add my own comments to the Captain's log? Many times during a patrol I find myself writing notes on scrap paper about lessons learned during a attack; like how many torpedoes it took to sink a certain type of ship, the date I started a new mission objective...

Has anyone created a stand-alone Captain's log/Journal in word/notepad to use for future reference?

With ROW+TM1.6.4, SH4 has become a truely immersive (and addictive) experience.

I would love to have this myself, along with the ever elusive "notes on the nav map".

AVGWarhawk is working on the types of messages you get on the Captains log, and I am working on a new screen for it, to get rid of the ugly clipboard. Perhaps we can take things a step further.

One thing that the past modding has shown us... Things that seem imposssible, sometimes aren't.

I would think that being able to pull up a page with a text box for user input should be possible.
