Hi,
As a Newfoundlander born and bred, I have noticed that Argentia, Newfoundland is placed on the wrong side of Placentia Bay, probably about 100 miles from where it should be. In GWX Argentia is placed where Marystown is. HB |

So learn how to use the editor and fix it!
And don't forget to share! ![]() p.s. :rotfl: I know it can be done, but I don't know how either. I'm sure there are lots of those for those who know where to look.

That is exactly where the Argentia Naval base was.

Just as a historical note, if you to the bay immediately to the west of St. John's, you will see Conception Bay. The largest island in it is called Bell Island, and in the 1940's it was one of the worlds biggest Iron ore mines. On two seperate evenings late in 1942, two ballsy u boat skippers sank two oreships, while the ships were waiting to fill up with ore, at anchorage just to the south east of the island. Loss of life was unfortunately high. All four wrecks are popular dive sites for advanced divers, as the wrecks are about 100 feet down.

Fantastic!! Can't wait to start a IX career to check it out. I don't think the welcome will be as warm as it is for modern day visitors!!
BTW here is a link to a dive record for the wrecks. With some great pictures http://www.wrecksandreefs.com/newfound.htm |

You are most welcome. My favourite pic is the one of the aft part of the torpedo.
