Default Raboul Photo Recon

Sboat stationed at Brisbane, Receive orders to Patrol Bismark Sea, Patroled assigned area completed, did not sink anything so sent Patrol Status report and rec'd new orders to do a photo Recon of Raboul, Aircraft Carrier in Vicinty.Set course for Raboul, approaching the harbour a Akzuki DD is patroling area around 2 Shokaku Fleet Carriers. In order to take photo dedided DD had to be sunk.Waited for DD to come across my bow and fired a spread of two fish. Both Fish are hits and the Akzuki sinks.Move sub in closer for photo shot and there is a couple of armed trawlers scooting about, they pose no threat.Take my photo shot of first carrier, The sub camera actually takes pretty good photos. Here is actual camera photo shot.

Anyhow, after completing photo shot, decided to attack first carrier, sent a spread of 4 fish, waited for reload and sent two more fish her way.All 6 fish were good hits and she listed heavily, she would not sink, so made depth decks awash and used Deckgun to finish her off. Took 60 salvos and finaly sunk. Now for second carrier, with 4 fish left, sent a spread towards last carrier. With four gaping holes in her starboard below waterline, she didn't even have a slight list after waiting hours. Went home with around31,000 tons and somewhat dissapointed couldn't sink second carrier.

Living up to your name there Gunner.

There was only one picket

Typically I see at least two or three.

A single picket is a really stupid idea on the IJN's part.

Anyhow way to take advantage of the situaion.

Default Can't take a pic

I have only been playing for 2 months, but every photo recon mission I am sent on is a failure. The camera button remains greyed out on both scopes. I have tried to snap pics with the greyed out button, bit it does not work. Any ideas?

You need to hit the L key to lock the scope. The camera icon will un-gray.

There was only one DD and 2 armed trawlers, kinda suprised myself, one of those little buggers caused me more problems than the DD cause I sunk him at 2200 yards. I was in real shallow water and trawler was armed with DC came over top of me and dropped depth charges a couple of times, ended up blow'n up his stern lol., guess DC were set too shallow No damge to sub, SBoat accelerates fast to elude DC.

As for not being able to take pics mate, like Tater says, make sure you have a lock on the target, camera icon will light up when you are close enough, done a few photo recon with no probs

I was skimming through the text, and thought "60 rounds from the gun to sink a carrier? That's not realisti...oh, plus six torpedoes."

Good job, Gunner!
