Default Silent Hunter has encountered a problem and must shut down.....

Greetings fellow Kaleuns....I have been plaqued with a problem as of late and two reinstalls have not cured it...I have also deleted all files I can find in my documents before reinstalling. It seems that I am ok until I enable my mods....and then the problem shows up....I was wondering if anyone else had experienced the same thing....after I return from a patrol and attempt to go out again....I get the error msg. Silent hunter has encountered a problem and must shut down....forcing me to reboot all over again.....I have also ran the repair option from the control panel uninstall programs......to no avail......Has anyone ever had this repair anything for them? It has never seemed to work for me on other issues......including this one...anyway....just trying to figure this one out....I suppose I am going to have to enable one mod at a time and keep trying the game until the problem shows up....only thing is ...I have about fifteen mods enabled... Like the mods....

That's a common problem occuring with many essential mods (lite harbor traffic comes to mind) that are enabled during a patrol. The trick is to enable all the mods that you want before starting a patrol when you have a saved game while in base and not in the middle of the ocean. After that you can take the next assignment and leave port for the mission.

But if that doesn't help, and seeing that you've resintalled from scratch, start a new career after installing the mods that you want. That should fix anything. :p And if it's not the mods, it could be your video card settings because some of them cause those CTD's too.

Couple of things pop into mind

SH3commander user ?
Do you rollback before adding mods ?

Also what O\S are you using ?

:hmm:
What are the 15 extra mods

May be that one of them is to blame
You may have to go with your idea in your first post and add one at a time unless one jumps out as wrong in the list

Sorry mate didnt see you reply

There are a few there not sure about

Fubars VIIC skin - is that just a TGA or a DAT ?
Same with the VII open hatch - :hmm:

When SH3 crashes back to desktop it will pop up a box onscreen

There is a line on that pop up thats says click here
When you click that another box pops up with the actual error

That one is Kernel.dll

Each CTD error gives a clue as to what is

BTW - got your PM

Ah more than likely a sound mod
They can cause CTDs
Disable all of the sound mods you have in then try again
