SHIII to play legally without DVD in drive !

As the rumors of the budget version already patched to 1.4 and obviously without starforce protection were dicussed as well in the german forums I thougt I should give it a try and figured out which was the latest version to appear.

And I gave it a try. (It is the third SHIII DVD)

...and really, it is already patched no Code printed on the DVD

Thats my second copy of the game , and as you say Friedl9te it works without disc , and is patched.
I was surprised not to find the map or the manual in the case , but well... :hmm: ...price was good though.

I bought a second copy about 6 months after the original release and although the packaging on the exterior was the same I was missing the keyboard guide and the map. I guess I was lucky to have the little map when I got the game in the first place.

So if Ubisoft has allowed a dvd version of their SH3 game, which doesn't require the dvd to be in the drive, will they publish an official no-dvd patch for those allready having the game? (For some, we allready have two copies) Or do we have to pay for yet another copy to get the no-dvd version? :hmm:

As far as the illegal well working NoDVD patch is concerned, some might know it quite well, yes I agree it is still illegal unless UBI allows to use it.

I dont think UBI will bring a patch by themselves because it will cost them a certain amount but there will be no return on investment, they wont earn a rusty coin.

I think the only possibility is to put again some slight pressure on UBI to allow using this illegal patch and thus make it legal.

UBI must be convinced that legalizing this patch will foster their goodwill and does not cost them a fortune.
