This site is teaching me so many things that i didn't know about this game before i started reading here. 1 being how to read "new messages". Up till the last week i had ignored what i thought were a nuisance lol since when i went to my radioman he would always say no new messages recieved. Now a whole new world of communication has opened up, but alot of it i can't seem to find the resources to understand. A couple of examples would be. 1 it gives longitude and latitude of ships giving distress signals both allied and axis but i can't find maps anywhere that would help me to pinpoint the position, another would be i see a lot of reference to grid locations that contain 4 numbers in lieu of the standard 2 letter, 2 number locations on the map. What am i missing here?

A lot of the radio traffic is purely for immersion, or additonal effect and is not connected to what is going on in the game itself, vessels on the map etc.

Most of the radio messages you refer to are actual intercepted radio messages from that date and time during the war.
