Sometimes it seems to me the US does posess some kind of noble class.

Ok, we Germans shouldn't throw stones from the glass house (at least in conservative parties, much goes on about family as well), on the other hand, we never claimed to be the "land of opportunities".

There is quite a bit of truth to that. The Bush family can trace their ancestry back to royalty in England, apparently a high up like a Duke or a brother of the King of England in the royal family back in the 1600s. Anyways they are cousins of Winston Churchill, and Princess Diana which makes Prince William and Harry GW's 17th cousin. John Kerry is also a distant cousin of Bush......go figure. Other families who have generations of folks in power here would be the Kennedy's, Roosevelts, Tafts.

Of course anyone can trace their lineage back to someone powerful or famous if they try. Heck, William Henry Harrison, 9th and shortest termed president is in my family tree and believe me, I have no political clout or power.

And if your target also lives in a glass house, who cares?

But forget about rocks, they will be picked and thrown back. You have to throw a Roman Pila, the one that bends on impact and can't be thrown back effectively, unless you're aiming at a glass house, then it doesn't really matter, unless your glass is thicker than the other guy's house, so make sure your glass walls are thick and strong, or use automotive glass, or at least put some film on the walls to give you some protection. That should allow you to throw rocks at every other glass house and survive the counter-attack.
