Hey , i dont want grey icons in GWX , I wanna see who is hostile. So I downloaded the mod gwx_contact_colors . But how do I install it?

I had the same issue. winrar, for example, can uncompress a .7z file.

It should be in JSGME format.
Extract the contents so that folder structure is: Coloured Contacts > data > etc...... Then copy this into the MODS folder in the GWX program directory. Then enable with JSGME. Have you never used JSGME to enable extra mods before? Sometimes I forget, that what's easy for others may not be easy for everyone.

At first I was taken aback at the lack of ID colors when I installed GWX. But then I thought about it, and it simply made sense to me. You would really have to ID your ships before taking action on them. Of course this sometimes proved a pain in the rear too! :rotfl:
To me it's simple. If it's night time, and her lights are running, then she's a neutral or ally. If she's dark, she's fair game. Of course it's different in the day time though...... :hmm: |
