I'm currently playing 2 campaigns: 1 in a type IXb (my 1st 100k patrol) ; 1 in a VIIB (80k patrol so nice also). Both in their 4th patrol (2 testpatrols, 1 real patrol).
I played the VIIB 1st and then started a IX patrol due to reading a thread here. I my 1st observations, damn that IX has many torps and golly a 37mm AA (wowsers this is a slow shooter, 1 shot / 5 seconds; the gaime sais 45r/min) and a kewl 105mm gun, with very few rounds. 1st I tought nice gun that 105, but today I needed 15+ rounds for a smal merchant this is similar to the 88. I know this is stil not many for reality sake, but is there a difference ingame between the both, or is it just talk? 2ndly the 37mm is that any good for finishing a small merchant off, or should I keep it for AA? |
