Default AI Breakthrough

News from beyond the fringe.
M.

From Privateer:

With all the work I am involved in with the up comeing GWX release,
I have decided to release some information.

What you will see in the upcomeing days,
posted here at SS FIRST,
will be a FRAPS of an AI sub.

This is not just a new AI unit!!!

This new sub does something everyone said could not be done.

It dives.

It resurfaces. (If not DCed to death first!)

It is a prototype at this point.

I have asked Racerboy to assist for very obvious reasons,
He has accepted.
As such, please welcome him to this challange!!!

Any and all questions about this unit should be directed to me.
Post your questions and I will see that you get a responce
through one person or another ASAP.

That is all.

Privateer!!

[edit] to save some search time for those new to the thread
here is the video of the new unit.

This would really be THE BREAKTHROUGH to the game. Many thanks to all involved! Will it be incorporated into the next GWX release? Maybe wolfpacks?

Great work! It would be very nice if this can lead to some assistance when chasing convoys.

If this really works we should definitely write a petition to the moderators of the forum to reinstate Privateers forum account.

Outstanding. Thanks very much Privateer.

Well sort of. He was "keelhauled". So the account was not really deleted. His old posts are still there but he can no longer log in. Please don't ask what happened. Long story and not really important anymore.

I was just saying this because from his past actions including working for SH3 I believe IMHO he deserves a second chance if he wants it.

Not only wolfpacks but also AI subs being a real threat. Problem would be you won't know what hit you.
