I have to admit that's certainly too much, you should certainly add some ticks of realism

Initially I was playing at 30-40% Realism (in the days of GW 1.1a) but slowly I rased the level to about 70-80% and the game feels much better now. I would never play at 100% as I like my external camera and automatic targeting. Nevertheless the higher the realism levels the better the game is.

It's always nice when Hood goes down.

SHIII/GWX is like skiing... the level you're comfortable with is the most fun. Notch up the realism when the level you are on gets boring & you will keep having fun.

Wilkommen zum Subsim Herr Kaleun!

Do what feels good and don't measure your experiences by other people's standards. I started at lower levels of realism and still prefer to play at around 84% simply cos I couldn't be bothered messing with manual targetting anymore and like to have the eye candy available through the external camera.

Gute Jagd!

Sounds like your having fun - enjoy it cause later in the war things get quite bad! Just as it was in real life!
