Default Sonar Efficiency and Officers

I have always wondered......

By having an officer with an electronics skill in the control room affect the efficency of the Sonar and Radio stations?

I am using GWX.

Thanks,

BT

good question, i think that the crewmember with a skill must occupy the compartment in question to effect it's effeciency rating, but i have been wrong millions of times before.

The trick is I think is having 2 radio officers in the radio/sonar room at once so the green bar is full at the top, then the radar will work to its full efficency and vice versa with the hydraphone/sonar..... Not entirley sure about the difference with a green sailor vs a senior staff officer + quailifaction

I asked this question some time ago and was assured that for example the sonar efficiency is ONLY affected by the qualification of the sonar guy.
So the green bar doesn't give the correct efficiency value for both sinlge stations, but something accumulated. Don't know what this should tell us then.

To keep the bar at maximum get both guys qualified....especially in the later years

Thanks....looks like sonar rating for an officer is a wasted effort

You need only give the Petty Officers a sonar qualification
