if its bad tactics bad equipment bad weather bad navigation
bad damage bad sabotage etc etc etc.

If anything goes wrong on you U-boat - you just blame Bernard.

For example on the last patrol of U-30 the last message recieve simply said:
"BERNARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
