Online play

Hey, new to game but i've spent most of 4 hours trying to get online game going, i've tried ubi, and i've downloaded hamachi, on hamachi i've tried 3 different rooms, Subsim SH4, SUBSIM SH4 2, SUBSIM SH4 1.5 or what ever the 3rd one was, i can't talk to anyone through hamachi cause right i right click them and click chat it immediately says they have gone offline.

I've been trying feverishly to get something going but i can't seem to get nothing to work and i'm frustrated and about ready to give up.

plz tell me what i'm doing wrong or spell me out a dummy proof way of getting a game going.
