Default Ship Placement

In SH4 editor, you place ships using Lat. and Lon. right? I am not at my home computer, so I cant look it up. If so I have all the ship placements for the ships that were at Truk at the time of the last battle there. I have a map of all the ship placements of the sunken ships there, lat and lon as well as how they are sitting on the ocean floor. I have had this placed into a map for SH2 PA, but I would also like to have them in SH4. I have all ship names and types too.

Thanks if some one could answer this for me.

You place them by dragging them to position in the mssion editor program. You might be able to use straight lat/long in the text file, I never bothered to check if the numbers were indeed lat/long, lol.

If by the battle you mean the large airstrikes, you could try, but it's hard to get it to work out.

The stock game has no reef, and indeed no traffic to Truk. In the stock battle they sail the US fleet THROUGH the atoll. Literally, the stock battle might as well be the Battle of the Nile.

Of course no player sub should possibly be in a position to see inside the lagoon.

I indeed have the map of the truk shipping lanes, I just wanted to place the ships in the area as to have them as dock or on patrol if player subs wanted a look see. Sort of a look into history. Not as a last battle. Just placed into the campaign. I made a mission for SH2 PA just for that, but it would be nice to see it in SH4 graphics.

Cool.

I made a reef for truk out of sub nets in my campaign, actually.

I didn't put ships at anchor all over, because I actually made groups come and go, and there is limited room for the AI to turn them, and I figured such docked ships would cause a problem.

I'd be happy to make a mission with just the reef for you if you want to have it (it was a PITA, no sense in you trying to replicate it, lol).

In general (correct me if I'm wrong) I have the naval anchorage West of Moen, and the merchant shipping to the SE.

Tater,

Sent you a great map of Truk if you did have the shipping lines yet.

See your PMs.
