Default Tweaking "periscope depth" ?

Does anybody know - is it possible to tweak (fix) periscope depth on VIIc ?

After various modings in my present 1.02 GWX, "periscope depth" command ends up in vierd position of my "tower":
...it appears some 1/2 meter above surface, causing frustrating spottings by ships...even in a midnight attacks on convoy, attracting sudden gunfire by escorts,...etc.

I know that depth in game could be set "manualy" by gauges but I would like to know if there is a tweak within some file - to fix it ?

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Submarine\NSS_U boat7c

Open the cfg file and look for

[Properties]
PeriscopeDepth=12;meters <-----Alter this line
SnorkelDepth=10;meters
CrashDepth=70;meters
MaxDepth=300;meters

But in may be the bouyancy which is raising the scope

Since I like manuvers within convoy I'll fix it - one meter deeper...

Why not just set your depth one metre deeper using the depth guage?:hmm:

Also.....
Don't forget that in moderate or heavy seas your sub will broach the surface in the "troughs" between the "peaks" of the swell of the ocean!!!
In flat calm water it is easy to adjust your depth to be just how you like, but Mother Nature will always try to upset the best laid plans of man!

Because hitting "P" is easier?

I use the changed periscope depth that is present in the neutral buoyancy mod. Works like a charm!
