These must have been asked before??

#1 Will a refit,repair distroyed Periscopes?

#2 Can Warnerscobe's Sonar Solution,be used in Auto TDC? or manual only?

We lost both scopes,in a PD engagement,& there is a tender near, but we were ordered to patrol far NW. 50% fish left, but coming to 30ft. to get on the bridge,to send TBT data to the TDC,&Position Keeper, can alert DDs,& put holes in the hull. Also makes Convoy attacks kinda hairy.:p Done two assults that way,not wanting to push our luck. Thxs Skippers

Sonar solutions can only be used in manual targetting.

Capt. switch, actually

Look over this thread: TUTORIAL VIDEO: Advanced Firing Solution using Sonar only

One piece of advice: make absolutely SURE you're shooting at an ENEMY target. First time I tried this kind of targetting, I eneded up sinking a T3 Tanker north of Guadacanal. I would've never known it was allied had it not been for the Friendly Unit Destroyed message.

On my last patrol in the Bismarck Sea I took serious damage, including BOTH periscope destroyed. The tender at Milne Bay was available for re-fit, so I put in there on the way home. I got the message that periscopes were repaired and the scopes were no longer listed as destroyed in the damage control screen.

So, yes, I think periscopes can be fixed by a re-fit.

Be so kind to tell me in straight words if you think that I'm not correct. If that's what you're trying to express.

I don't see the need to make fun of posts with incorrect information. You may get a kick out of it, others may not.

I for sure don't.

Just post a link with posts that say otherwise?

The scientist in me is willing to consider that I may be wrong, but I would need to see some evidence for that to happen. Based on my experience I'm still convinced that I'm right. Despite the RockNut ID I'm not a nut.

It was raining in the game,& I could see nothing from the bridge either. Thus joke.
