Default [REQ] How about an "All Stop" button??

Hi All,

I am requesting a button on the main screen bar where the Compass and Direction dials are.

The button would be for "All Stop" if possible. I can never hit 0 speed when I want to stop and I am using "~" which works, but it would be nice to have this on the bar.

Any takers?

I'm not sure why you're concerned about not being able to hit 0 kts exactly, anyway. The sub isn't gonna stop instantly even if you nail 0 kts the 1st time! You've got a long time before the boat even starts to slow down to get the speed set to exactly 0!

And like Luke said, it's already there - just switch to the standard engine telegraph view and click "Stop". It's done, simple as that, speed set to 0 kts

Ok, whatever. We were just trying to help.

If you really want a button on the command bar to do that, search the mods forum for tutorials on adding buttons. Shouldn't be that big a deal for you to do it. But why you'd want to escapes me, since what you want is already provided in the sim...

Alrighty enough bickering

In your Orders.cfg file add the following line at the end of the [Station1] section.

Button9Command=All_stop
Button9IconRowColumn=1,10
Button9Tooltip=5880

Things to change/add

1. Button9 change the 9 to the next available number in that station.

2. The 1,10 is actually the display piccie on the button. If 1,10 doesn't exist, the button will show a blank display. Just change the 10 back to a smaller number until you're happy with the display piccie that will show up on the button when you're in the game.

3. The 5880 will most probably be a new tooltip therefore you'll have to go into the Menu.txt file to add 5880 in and next to it type something like ALL STOP as the tooltip description. Then when you're in-game, when you press the button, the tooltip will show up as ALL STOP.

Pretty simple to do really.

I've added a command button to place my sub at "Decks Awash" but that's another story.

Hope that helps.

Like I and others have already said...IT'S ALREADY THERE. Switch to the engine telegraph and click the All Stop command. Good grief, is it really that difficult?

Thanks Fearless,

All I did was ask a question, I did not need any answer other than "yes, it could be done" or "yes, it would be done" or "no, it can't be done" or "no, it won't be done".

How about "No, it's already there"
