Does weight play any factor in fuel consumption? For example, if I shoot off all torps, will the fuel consumption be more in my favor as the sub is "lighter" and therefore creating less of a downwards drag when running on the surface? I somehow doubt it but would appreciate the more experienced kaleuns response to confirm.

I really don't think weight plays a factor in this game. From the two careers I've completed, only speed, weather and surface time have any effect on my range (Fuel consumption). Maybe others have had other experiences..

The only factor i've found affecting fuel consumption is weather conditions and time spent on the surface.
It would make the game more interesting if weight did play a part in fuel consumption, though it might mean shorter patrols, or more frequent re-fueling at a milch cow. |
