I have SHIII with gwx 1.03 installed.
What i can't understand the following: When i play the Force 69 mission I have my IX sub submeged at 35m with no speed. the noise meter gives a green color. Once the enemy destoyers come near my sub whole lot a time later the noise meter suddenly pops up red, and i get destroyed by DCs ![]() How come? Do i have a traitor on my sub or something? |

Maybe Dr. Smith sneaked aboard your ship. He's been known to be very sneaky. Just ask the Robinson family.

At 35 metres, even with engines stopped you are a big fat, juicy ASDIC target if the Destroyers come close enough and at the correct angle. Try going deeper and, of course, rig for silent running

yea go alot deeper and stay at 2 knots silent running
also another tactic i use is when the dc's start exploding near you speed up to flank speed for a few seconds until they are done exploding. i do this because im pretty sure when dc's explode, it temporarily deafens the destroyer's sensors and it allows you to get much deeper a whole hell of a lot faster. |
