Default GWX and Credit for kills

I just installed the latest GWX. While practicing manual targeting with the "PQ-17" single mission I encountered a strange problem.

I sank three merchants and did not get any log entries showing the kills or credit at the end of the mssion for the kills. I never left the center of the convoy.

Someone mentioned in a past post that if you move away from a sinking ship you will not get credit for the sinking.

In GWX, how far away can you move from a ship you have torpedoed and still get credit for the sinking?

I think it's visual, or sensor range, but if a ship sinks and you receive the "Enemy Unit Destroyed" message, you should get the credit automatically.

in GWX it's "She's going down" and it's damn right to be Sink them all!
