In Honor of Jutland, 1916

What brought this on was an event with a hypnotist 2 weeks ago. I got to talking with him about all this "past life" stuff and how I thought it was a pot of crock. He said he could try it out on me for an additional fee of $20 bucks. I said OK (after all, $20 bucks isn't a lot to satisfy curiosity). So, he did his thing, and the next thing I knew, it was 20 minutes later. I asked him what had happened. He said that my "most recent past life" was spent as Captain Bölken of the SMS Pommern. I said, "Really... well, that's interesting..."

I walked home, not very convinced by his talk, and sat down on my bed. I got to thinking about the name and ship name. So, I jumped to my feet and got onto my computer.

After doing some research, I found that Captain Bölken had gone out to fight at the Battle of Jutland in 1916. I continued to read on to find that the ship had split at her midships and sank with the loss of all 839 hands. This was really cool, I thought at the time. Don't know what to make of it. Well, that inspired me to help make the video. Enjoy it.

Pretty good but the scrolling is on steroids and I can't read that fast. Tunes are excellent. Who is it?

Nightwish - Sleeping Sun Lyrics

The sun is sleeping quietly
Once upon a century
Wistful oceans calm and red
Ardent caresses laid to rest
For my dreams I hold my life
For wishes I behold my nights
A truth at the end of time
Losing faith makes a crime

I wish for this night-time to last for a life-time
The darkness around me - shores of a solar sea
Oh how I wish to go down with the sun
Sleeping
Weeping
With you

Sorrow has a human heart
From my God it will depart
I`d sail before a thousand moons
Never finding where to go
222 days of light
Will be desired by a night
A moment for the poet`s play
Until there`s nothing left to say

Nice video and decent music (which is credited at the end of the movie, for those curious as to who it is). I agree that the titles are too difficult to read though, but apart from that I liked it very much.

With regard to the hypnotism: I love the way that when people claim or have it suggested to them that they've had a 'past life' they were never something mundane, they are always Cleopatra's handmaiden, or one of Napoleon's generals, or a Spitfire pilot in the Battle of Britain or something, never a bottle washer in the Catering Corps stationed in the ass end of nowhere.

Aaah, Nightwish, great group, pity Tarja left, but still quite good.

I'd love to have a regression done, but can't ever seem to find someone to do it, and not at an extortionate price.

Well, if it's true, I can honestly say I made the decision I would of made had I (the I of now) been back in that period.

I didn't make the speed on them. That was the lowest it would let me set it at.

I would have liked to walk on those ships just to check them out

There is just about those old battleships that make them so special, it cant compete with the new of what the old have.
its actually a sort of a fantasy thing.
a big ship with big guns

It would really of been something. I've been diving to see the SMS Konig, and it is still an impressive sight. Good fact is that is was scuttled, so it is in good condition.
