Default Can't open Radio & Grammophon

I can't open the Radio or the Grammophon. When I click on the Buttons in the HUD nothing happens.

I installed the 1.3 Patch over a freshly installed SH4.

Anyone else get this problem?

And yes, my boat was surfaced when I tried.

I am using 1.3 and both radio and gramophone work fine.

Default Can't open Radio or Gramophone

I had that problem right after I installed patch 1.3. I had to pull out all mods, move JSGME and the MODS directory to the desktop, uninstall SH4, reinstall SH4, move MODS and JSGME back to game directory. The start JSGME and save a snapshot before continuing. Now install mods, making sure they're 1.3 compatible, and I think you'll find you have the radio and gramophone back. If not yell for help again and we'll check it out.

Works as advertised for me.

I had a simular with SH-3 once with no sound after install and patch.

Went to control panel and did Repair and sound came back.

Some times a file gets screwed up during install.

Good Luck.

Found the problem.

Something in my commands.cfg seems to be wrong. When I use the one which came with the Patch everything works fine.

Now I'll change it one by one and look which change will cause this problem.,

Edit:

The Problem was caused by the Keychanger-Program. Something semms to be wrong when it saves the cfg. Edited it manually now and everything works fine.

If you're talking about SetKeys 1.11, yep that will kill your gramophone and radio every time. Haven't figured out just why, but you can still use it without probs. Just copy off your commands.cfg somewhere else, point SetKeys at the copy, and edit the copy. Then do a copy/paste from the edited copy to the real commands.cfg. That way, SetKeys never gets to change the real file, and you don't have to scratch your head figuring out syntax and keycodes.

Of course, if you know all the hex keycodes by heart, it's faster just to do it manually to begin with

Yes it is Setkeys.

I'll give it a try with copy&paste next time.
