Although enjoying the new patch, I occasionally get a CTD with this error:
AppName: sh4.exe AppVer: 1.3.0.0 ModName: kernel.dll ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0001bc90 Anyone know what causes this? Thanks! |

The cause can be an overheated-overstressed computer.
The idea is that the computers that are near the recommended configuration are far less likely to CTD than the ones that are near the minimum configuration. So 2 Gb of RAM is higly recommended and also an expensive video card. Also, if you video card is from ATi, you should check the topics on that matter.

Yes, should be quite enough. How is the cooling in your pc-case? Do you have sufficient case-fans for conducting cool air in and blowing hot air out? No cables hanging in the way which can disrupt airflow to and from graphics card and/or CPU?

Hmmm. You know, I have the SLI forced into "alternate frame rendering" in an attempt to improve performance. Maybe it should go to split frame? If I set it to "auto" SH4 seems to only use one GPU. |

Bad news: maybe you should disable SLI, it could be SLI that's causing the CTDs.
