Default GWX files?

Hello all,

Returning to the game after a good two years away. Been reading up on GWX and am looking forward to giving it a shot.

However, all links leading to the download page only leads to a standard MS Explorer "website cannot be found" page. Is there an alternate option, or has GWX been permanently removed from the public domain?

Thanks,
-akula-

JScones has pulled the website.

Inline with the eventual release of GWX version 1.04 we will be building a new website.

Active links to GWX files will be added to the first post of the GWX sticky in the mods forum over the weekend.

Thank you for your patience and pardon the mess. We are building for the future.

No. That is not what I said.

The links I refer to are for the pre-existing GWX 1.0 + updates and relevant peripheral official files.

No worries. I only pounced on it so that rumors wouldn't get started.

Hello, I'm also back from a few years ago and was going to try out GWX.

So just which files do I need to DL (or all) and any setup instructions?

Or should I just wait for the weekend and the 1.4 release??

Thanks in adv
T.

PS. just kidding about the weekend stuff

You will need a clean SH3 instal
Patched to 1.4b

Install GWX 1.0 ( Exe plus 5 bin files )
Install GWX 1.03 ( Exe )

Thats it
I recommend SH3Commander
If you do get SH3Commander then get the extra cfg files for GWX too

All available here

http://hosted.filefront.com/curlycumbers

Except SH3commander which has its own thread

Kpt. Lehmann, I'm sure you've heard it all before...but I must congratulate you and your team for a simply outstanding body of work. I thought I was getting a few realism modifications and a tweak or two...instead I received a whole new game. The manual itself will take days for me to pore over.

Three cheers and smooth sailing,

Thanks for the info and thanks Grey guys for the work, I'm sure I'll love it. Communities like this and modding makes PC gaming rock (and I'd never have had my war gaming addiction for realistic games satisfied otherwise.)

Holy cow, just noticed the sizes... so I install SHIII and then basically replace everything I just installed when I run GWX. Sweet :rotfl:

Cheers
T.
