You a flight sim enthusiast. Someone on the SimHQ forums said that Oleg (creator of IL2 sturmovik) had has his eye on that video cause he wanted his (SoW:BoB) game's ships to do the same as what you saw in that video

Someone should tell Oleg that that was an example of a contemporary torpedo and an under the keel detonation.
Carnage of that order was not possible with WWII equipment. |

A type 93 would do that.

No, I meant a jap type 93 ("long lance") would have a similar sized warhead. Single hits took out cruisers.

Dont the adcap's have a shaped charge or something.
I find it hard to belive that a WWII era torpedo would have the same destructive power as a contemporary weapon. |

A shaped charge doesn't make any difference if it's magnetically detonated under the target. A shaped charge is designed to burn through armor and then go off inside. I'm sure a Long Lance would be pretty disruptive to the daily workings of the average destroyer.

But literally splitting the ship in two and lifting it out of the water, blowing the bridge clean off the superstructure ??? By shaped charge what Im referring to is the charge is directed upwards instead of "sphere". |

What's the secondary explosion...the first obviously breaks the boat into two halves, but where does the second explosion come from?
Awesome power....
