Default A kill comes, eventually

Well I just bought SH4 and I think it is my all time favorite so far, but I did notice one thing that I thought was funny. I was playing a convoy mission trying to learn my way around the user interface, and I torpedoed an large split cargo. Being amazed by how awesome the graphics and effects are for this game, I decided to watch it sink. It went down by the stern, and developed a 30 degree port list to which I surely would have thought I would have gotten credit for the kill. But no, it just kept sinking and I waited. Finally I got the "Enemy vessel destroyed" message just as the last vestiges of the ship slipped beneath the waves. I just found it amusing that the game took so long to recognize that there was no hope for the ship and let it go.
