Default Has SH3 become cool or something?

I picked up my original copy of SH2 in a bargain bucket for 5 euros about 4 years ago. I waited to get SH3 until I had updated my computer and by the time I had the game was nowhere to be seen in any shop in Ireland, not even in the bargain bucket and the guys behind the counter in my local game store had never heard of it. Courtesy of ebay I managed to get the game. That was a year ago.

I poked my head into the same shop this weekend and what do I see? Half a shelf dedicated to Silent Hunter 3 and not at the bargain prices either. Have Ubi started to reprint the game or did they trip over a box in the storeroom and find the best sub game ever?

Odd, I have seen about the place for ages and just saw it in store as part of the BIG BYTES game range (basically older games at cheap prices) so I picked up my SHIII copy for around $25 NZ. Best $25 I spent on a pc game in a while....

It might be SHIII Gold Edition. I'm not entering into a discussion on the good or the bad of it but it was mentioned a little while back in this thread: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=116886

Picked my copy up in december 2006, but it took a while to find an internet store that still had it.

20 euro well spent.

Would it be any chance be in GAME in Blanchardstown?
I've noticed that too, because it wasnt there for ages, and now it seems to be all over the place, the opposite seems to be happening with SH4

Default Current SHIII Price in Canada

I haven't seen it around much lately in Canada - the only copy I have seen in the past few months actually, is a copy for $19.99 CDN at EB Games. But yeah, the game is still cool, IMO. Haven't actually played it in a while though.
