I found the vid on another forum and thought that you guys would like it.

Hearing those Merlin engines always brings a lump to my throat, reminds me of "the few" and what they gave so that we can be here now.

That's some really nice footage, thanks for posting the link robbo. Good formation flying too, considering they are right in the propwash of four big props being turned by Merlins.

I was however disappointed to see that despite being capable of carrying up to 22,000lbs of munitions and having made a perfect run over Buck House, they forgot to release the bombs. The family that lives there are a bunch of Germans after all :rotfl:

On a more serious note, whenever I see the BoB Memorial Flight in tight formation, it's always a lovely sight (and sound), but I can't help noting the irony that the tight formation flying the Spits and Hurricanes concentrated on in the BoB was one of the main reasons for many of the deaths of Fighter Command's pilots in that battle, which is always a sad thought.

That's very true Chock, I hadn't thought of that.

Right about Buck House though, how could they miss?

My grandmother has some serious dementia and this really freaks her out, she complains about "military aircraft" for weeks afterwards
