Default Graphical & Eye Candy Issues

Hi all,
Following this forum for a while, first post. Just some questions for this great forum.
  1. Occasionally the people in the game are rendered as sprites, they are 2D. This happens to the men in the sub and those little people you see on ships/
  2. Sometimes distant ships appear as a square, this goes away as I approach them or zoom in with my periscope.
  3. I don’t seem to see survivors or lifeboats after I sink a ship as what I’ve been told should happen. I just got the game and have only played Sub School and some single missions, is this feature just exclusive to the campaign?
Thanks everyone

This problem seems to keep happening to other people as well with legit exes. Maybe try a reinstall. I can't remember if another solution was found.

At the moment I believe its my graphics card (ATi X1300Pro, not the best I know:p).
Thanks everyone
2. Could this be a problem with the mapping of the texture? Doesnt SHIV use lower resolution version of the skin when ship is far away?

3. If the lifeboat flips over, the survivors will disappear. The boat flips over quite easily.

Thanks all, i have managed to fix all this.
  1. All these problems with flat, 2D characters are gone with a re-installation
  2. I haven't encountered these squares....yet
  3. The presence of lifeboats and survivors may be because of Environmental Effects, after turning it on i start seeing lifeboats after i sink something, but not quite sure if they are related
