Angels can have their wings clipped on ocassion.

Goddesses, who think they can hover to eternity, need to be tossed to the ground.

We have an old language here called “Masematte”, “masso umattan”, (jidd.). It was the language of people of no fixed abode, migrant workers, a mixture of German, Jiddisch, Roma and Sinti words, thieves’ argot (ling.).

There are 2 similar sounding words to describe things as either “good” or “not so good/suboptimal”.
They are “Jovel” = :-) and “Schofel “= :-(

That said, here comes the joke my mum told me several times:

My mum’s best friend's pet name was “Plantschi”, short form of “Plantschkuh”. 1x1 translation would be “splash – cow”.
It is a slang for hippopotamus.

So, "Plantschi" was huge.
One day “Plantschi” came to school with a red dress with big white circles which made her look even bigger.
So my mum said: “Wow, Plantschi, you are looking “schofel” today.”

Plantschi with a red face beaming with joy:
“Yea, nice dress, is not it?”

Plantschi does not speak Masematte.

I had a deity for breakfast today, quite sweet in taste but already a bit dry, so I guess next time I'll really store them in a refrigerator. On the other hand, the two deities I grilled yesterday for lunch were juicy and delicious and had a tasty sound in their voices when begging for mercy. There is nothing better than a singing barbecue if you want to fill your empty belly in a hurry. It really pays off to buy your deities in a theistic warehouse, the quality simply is - well, it has more flavour, you know, and the more juice can be used for various kinds of desserts. Just don't grill them too long, they tend to become too hot and nasty by that. Hm, I love deities, jumjum!

If you eat too many deities, don't you have to go on a diety?

No, deities are not very nutritious. Eat as many as you want, and nevertheless stay slim! In Africa and SouthEast Asia they have many diets basing on deities, and it really keeps them slim. I heared some scientologists even breed them in test tubes now, to compensate for the increased demand for low-calorie sweets. It's easier than to harvest them in mythology. The laboratory-deities only have the disadvantage not to offer that intense smell of old dust that the real gourmet is looking for.
