Go where you like, sink those ships and return home and your get a patrol grid when you next set out.

I must assume you stopped off for supplies so your search grid has become null.

NULL is the bar down the street, just turn right by the old flower shop. Beware, Bernard is working as a doorman there..

As STEED said, go out and have fun!

I agree with steed, sounds like you started a patrol from a freindly base not the actual home port.
http://www.mysh3.info/shiii/index.php/Resupply
Check the name of the port against your homeport.

Hi wmes! I was annoyed about that too, so after intensive search I've come up with this solution - works every time.

After you leave the milk cow or friendly dock and is clear of ships and coast, save and exit.

Go into [your documents\silent hunter-folder]\data\cfg

- in Playersettings.CFG you insert a line with PatrolArea=CO51

go down into Careers\[your career name-folder]

- in Patrols_0.CFG you scroll down to last [PATROL XXX] and substitute PatrolArea=NULL with PatrolArea=CO51

go down into your last patrol-folder
- in savename.PSC insert a line with PatrolArea=CO51

- in savename.CLG (mission order) under [Log Entry 0] you add to the end of the line EntryText this: |Mission Orders: Patrol grid CO51

So line before:
EntryText=Patrol 3|U-83, 23rd/29th Flotilla|Left at: January 9, 1942, 06:09|From: Salamis

And line after:
EntryText=Patrol 3|U-83, 23rd/29th Flotilla|Left at: January 9, 1942, 06:09|From: Salamis|Mission Orders: Patrol grid CO51

Works every time. Please note, that SH3Cmdr do not recognise this... I think it reads from PlayerSettings.CFG which is reset by SH3 - but I only use SH3Cmdr first time I start a new patrol anyway...

Anyway, by doing like above, you'll receive renowns after completing mission and it will show up in Mission Order (F8).

Good luck!

Subject,
Welcome aboard.
I like your solution to the grid problem. If you contact JSCones about this, he may consider adding this to SH3CMDR, even tho he says he is finished with it.
He is a real pro and can't pass up a challenge.

Nb, only the .psc file needs changing - SH3 will look after the other files.

TBH, releasing an updated SH3Cmdr just for this feature alone was never an option for me.
