Default Sonar and radar man estimated ranges

I thought for sure I'd seen this information in another thread, but I've just spent a fair amount of time searching for it and haven't come up with anything, so I'll just ask:

Does anyone know what the actual distance ranges are for the 'estimated' ranges that your sonar and radar men call out?

For example, they'll say "Radar contact, sir! Bearing 010! Long Range!"

What are the possible distances in yards for Short Range, Medium Range, and Long Range?

I guess it's less important for the radar, since I can just go look at the radar screen myself and get a more accurate distance, but for the sonar it would be very helpful to know the minimum and maximum possible ranges for a "long range" target vs a "medium range" one.

Thanks!
