Default Small tankers...

(GWX)

How do you sink these buggers? They go up in flames quite easily but don't seem to sink. I've hit them in the bow, in the stern, amidships, with up to 3 torpedoes, and they do NOT sink easily. Most of the time they'll even survive 2 torpedo hits. Any tips? I set torpedoes for 1m here due to hull curvature.

I aim just forward of the funnel and midships, double shot they go down for me.

Hmm, well, I'd go for a close range magnetic shot right underneath the bridge, also because hull curvature makes impact fish not viable for a hit deep enough to properly flood them. but usually I also have to use another eel or deckgun them into submission

One torpedo (impact pistol) running at 1m at the area just above the smoke stack. They should blow up straight away.

I don't think I ever have sunk one of those with a single torpedo right away. They usually start to burn all over, but just continue on like nothing happened. Several times however I had them burning for about half an hour and than suddenly explode, break up and sink. That's the only ship I ever saw doing this.

Mast forward of the funnel

In stock SH3, T2s go down easier than T1s. How about that...?
