Well this is a hypothetical question sort of.....inspired of the post made some time ago about an alternate reality campaign, I started to dabble a bit with it and came to think of how complex it is.
Italy for example, if the war had turned out differently, they would probably still be German allies to the end of the war....is there a file in SHIII that controls which country is allied with who and for how long...and what is this file called and where is it? Or...are the sides controlled by bases only? I mean by making a German base to an allied one and thereby changing the map only as the war progresses? ![]() ![]() |

Ummm then you would have to rewrite all the campaign files
![]() As the majority of convoys are mixed US\UK\Canada oi you change one of those to axis it would look stoopid - the ships would be firing on each other |

As I said, untill now I'm only dabbling and trying to understand how the campaign engine works. Anyway...would never dream of changing for example US to axis or that kind of thing, what I had in mind was more perhaps to "prolong" the time Italy was an axis power for example and other changes on the map..bases and so on...haven't got any full overview yet because right now I have to know the limitations of the game first of all ![]() |
