SH3/GWX Radio Traffic?

I am out on my first patrol. When I get radio traffic from another boat advising of a sinking, is that just for atomosphere or should I regard that like a contact report and that there are merchants there to kill?

It's there to make you feel like your not alone in the world. Some of it, like the request to go to the Bismark's aid, is worth following up as it is linked to a programed event in GWX!
