Surely you aren't comparing a US prisoner death rate of .001% to what Al Quaeda does to those it captures are you?

I am comparing deaths under Al Qaeda torture to deaths under US torture. That makes sense right? Im not saying they are the same, I am just comparing them.

It's .002% btw, but that's irrelevant, there is no acceptable rate for violent torture and abuse of prisoners by AQ or the US and both should be bought to account.

[pic edited out, common WG, this is a forum for all ages and dispositions; no need for that kinda thing, please link with a warning it if you must include it in your post]
What do you mean what do I call it?
It's clearly a highly tragic and malicious event.
What it is not is a excuse for more malicious actions, on any scale.

I don't quite see the point your trying to make.

If more people saw the results of the attack on the WTC they wouldn't be so skitish about what the US role is. They would consider what is and is not torture. And who is and who is not the enemy.

I'll show it again: This is the result of falling 1500'.
Warning, graphic

The images are certainly very graphic. Frankly, I would not base my code of conduct on that of the terrorists.

I can't justify anything that causes United States Military Officers to be put into the position to violate their sworn Code of Conduct.

I'm sure United States Military Officers are not violating any code of conduct. I think that many have forgotten how the US got here.

I think a few things from seeing this thread - it confirms my thoughts that AQ and the rest of those islamic extremists are nuts, completely nuts. It makes me wonder why still you got half the western world refusing to act against people who do this sorta thing to HUNDREDS of people on a regular basis! Im not just talkin by terrorists, but regimes like mugabes as well, just as an example.

WG, i nearly lost my breakfast mate, cheers. Not cos im squeamish, i've seen my fair share of trauma. the very least you coulda done there is include a warning sport!

It's interesting that the pictures are mostly of shaven men torturing bearded men, and that the Al-Qaeda torture safe houses have working electrical outlets.

I wonder if it was an old Mukhabarat Interrogation Manual?

My two cents -

Terrible tortuous acts are committed by one country to another country, because the country feels the other deserves it because of wrongs done to them.

You can't tell if I'm talking about them, or the US, can you?
