Default Easy SH3 Commander ?'s

Hello, I have a career going with 3 patrols undermy belt. My crew has medals in their crew management area. I was wondering, should you go ahead and give them all the medals that appear in their avail. medals box? Or should I be more a "commander" and give out medals where I think they are deserved?

Also, lets say Udo Meyer is a Seaman that works in the torpedo room, does his qualification have to be in torpedoes or can I qualify him in watch and he'll do just as fine as a torpedoman? This is helpful in determining who will be my flak and who'll be the deck gun dude.

I guess this is all personal preference, but I am wanting to be as realistic as possible.

One last question. How can you change your characters place of birth? I am already in a career and have finished all of the submarine schools and I was wondering if this can be done.

thanks

Does it matter where each seaman is because you can move him about at your leisure. I ensure every qualification is covered apart from 'helmsman'

Your right...it's all down to personal preference
